Our Boundary Reader for 2025 is Ross Kilshaw from Cullen & Kilshaw

Our Boundary Reader for 2025 is Ross Kilshaw from Cullen & Kilshaw. Ross was born in Edinburgh and grew up in Melrose before moving to Peebles in 1992. He attended Melrose Grammar, Earlston High School and Peebles High School from 2nd year right through to 6th year.

Our Cornet Elect and Lass for 2025 are Jamie and Caitlin Hamilton. Son to Catherine and Steven, Jamie grew up in Kingsmuir Crescent, Peebles with his 3 brothers Craig, David and Ross, and attended Priorsford and Peebles High School. On leaving school Jamie attended Agricultural College at St. Boswells and currently works for Graham Irvine Plant Hire.

Peebles March Riding and Beltane Queen Festival recently held their Annual General Meeting. This meeting saw the completion of Chairman Paul Spence’s five years in office, a tenure that was more difficult than many of his predecessors, given the decisions that needed to be made around the covid pandemic.

Peebles March Riding & Beltane Queen Festival 2025

NOMINATIONS are being sought for key positions in this year’s Beltane Festival. The annual event, which takes place across the third week in June, has been celebrated since 1897 – although its roots stretch much further back in time.

Miss Sheila Murray

Peebles March Riding and Beltane Queen Festival was saddened to learn of the passing of Miss Sheila Murray on 18th December, in her 98th year. A former teacher in the town, Sheila was Beltane Queen in 1940.
