Selkirk Common Riding

Some roads will be closed to vehicular traffic on Sunday, 14th June 2026 on a rolling basis to facilitate the procession from the Chambers Institute and Cross Kirk.

As normal, the Inaugural Service is planned to be held in the grounds of the Cross Kirk.

We are currently taking part in a consultation to undertake an economic impact assessment of eleven Common Ridings and Summer Festivals across the Scottish Borders. We would strongly encourage everyone to take around 10 minutes to complete the survey by scanning the QR code below or using the link provided, ideally after attending festival events.

As ever, the Beltane would fail if it wasn't for the support of various businesses around the town. We start today with two local car dealerships - Brown Brothers Honda and Your Ford Centre Harrisons.
