New for 2026: Sports & Social Clubs (Section 5 on the entry form)
- We invite local groups to bring their energy, creativity, and community spirit to an exciting fancy dress parade celebration!
What to Expect on the Night
- Costume Parade: Strut your stuff around the town in your fanciest attire — solo, with friends, or as a family group!
- Motorised Marvels & Biking Beauties: Decorate your lorries, scooters, or bicycles to match your costume theme. From fairy-tale floats to superhero cycles, the more creative, the better!
- Pet Participation Encouraged: Why should humans have all the fun? Dress up your dogs, cats, or even guinea pigs and let them join the parade (on a leash or in a carrier, of course!).
This event is all about fun, community, and creativity, it’s a great way to meet neighbours, show off your artistic flair and enjoy a day full of laughter and colour.
- Face paint CAN be used to depict animals or characters that will enhance your costume.
- Face paint should NOT be used to mimic another ethnicity or colour.
- No Alcohol to be consumed during judging or on the parade by participants.
Gather on the Tweed Green – judging will start at 7 p.m.
The Parade leaves the Green at 7:30 p.m.
Registration is optional; you can still just turn up on the night and take part but this pre-registration is to assist with number management and contact details.
Details will be held for winners only after Beltane week to facilitate collection of prizes next year.
