Beating Retreat – Saturday 20th June 2026
Road Closures
The following roads will be closed to vehicular traffic between the hours of 18:45 and 20:30 on Saturday 20th June 2026.
- High Street – Cuddy Bridge / Tweed Bridge to junction with Eastgate / Northgate.
- Eastgate – junction with High Street to junction with Tweed Brae.
Alternative Route
Eastbound – Old Town, Young Street, Rosetta Road, March Street, Edinburgh Road, Innerleithen Road to junction Tweed Brae.
Westbound – Innerleithen Road, Edinburgh Road, March Street, Montgomery Place, Cross Street and Elcho Street Brae to point of closure.
Suspension of One-Way Order
The one-way orders will be suspended on the following roads on the 20th June 2026 between the hours of 18:45 and 20:15
- Port Brae – from Tweed Bridge to Tweed Green
- Tweed Green – from Port Brae
Parking Restrictions
Parking will be prohibited on the following road between the hours of 18:45 and 20:15 on Saturday 20th June 2026.
- Tweed Brae
- Tweed Green – South side.
