Raymond Smith

Everyone involved with Peebles March Riding & Beltane Queen Festival were saddened to learn of the recent passing of Raymond Smith.

Raymond lived for the Beltane and had an encyclopaedic knowledge of Cornets and Lasses and Beltane Queens.

Raymond lived latterly in St Andrews Court and would always be seen either there or the foot of the Old Town cheering on the parades, or shedding a tear while viewing the crowning.

Raymond’s funeral is on Tuesday 17th at 1pm, at Peebles Cemetery.
