Notice of Road Closures and Parking Restrictions

Inaugural Service – Sunday 14th June 2026

The following roads will be closed to vehicular traffic on Sunday, 14th June 2026 on a rolling basis to facilitate the procession from the Chambers Institute and Cross Kirk.

The procession to the service will commence at 17:45 with the return scheduled for around 19:00.

These closures will only take place while the procession is passing and come into effect at such times when under the instruction of a police officer in uniform or appropriate signing is in place, and will be maintained by a police officer or marshal.

  • Peebles High Street (A72)
  • Cuddy Bridge (A72)
  • Elcho Street Brae
  • Cross Street
  • Cross Road (from Cross Street to Damdale)

Parking Restrictions will be in place for the following roads and we would ask that they are observed to allow the procession to pass safely:

  • High Street
  • Elcho Street Brae
  • Cross Street
  • Cross Road (from Cross Street to Damdale)

Beltane Hut – Opening Times

The Beltane hut will be open this Thursday (25th) from 19:00 to 21:00 to receive borrowed house decorations. (Please note that items should not be left outside outwith these times).

We’d just like to give a huge thank you to Linton Bakes At The Cozy Kitchen for their support of Peebles Beltane Festival. For a couple of years now they’ve supplied breakfast for our volunteer drivers for our Your Ford Centre Harrison’s Official Cars and Peter Grandison, as well as our carriage drivers who come all the way up from Manchester.

It’s a wrap for another year! The curtain came down on Beltane 2026 with an excellent Beating Retreat delivered by Peebles Burgh Silver Band and Tweedvale (Innerleithen) Pipe Band last night.
