Beltane Boogie – New Venue, New Time

The Bairns’ Beltane Boogie has a change of venue and a change of time.

Come and get the festival started at 1pm on Saturday 14th June down at the Community Centre (Drill Hall).

We will have games, small prizes, a face painter and of course dancing with a chance to dance with some of this year’s principals.

See you there!

Happy Lanimers Day to everyone in Lanark! Sending our best wishes to this year’s Lord Cornet, Edward Pringle!

Decorated Shops and Houses

The committee is hopeful that as many as possible will take part in the decorated shops and houses competitions and turn the town red and white. There are two separate competitions which greatly enhance the town during Beltane. As ever, the Best Decorated Shop or Business will be awarded the Maharaj Kumar Challenge Shield, while the winners of the House Decoration will receive the Community Council Cup.

My Beltane Booklet

This year, the committee have introduced a new initiative, where every P3 child at the town’s Primary Schools will receive a booklet to mark their first involvement in the crowning ceremony. We hope they have a fantastic Beltane 2025.

West Linton Installation

Tonight Cornet Elect Jamie and his Lass Caitlin were joined by their supporters, together with our Beltane Queen Annie, the Warden of Neidpath Elect Christina Elder, and the Beltane Chairman Lorna Evans, enjoying representing Peebles at the West Linton Installation.
